I agree with Doc. I've done 14" with 3/4" bar but it was really slow going with small bites. I think 10 to 12" is reasonable. I took a 1 day class with Frank Sudol an we used 1 1/2" bars that weighted a ton. I hollowed to 12" with that without even breathing hard.
You might as Lyle Jameson about how far his big bar will hollow. It's pretty good size.
