I took some new photos and made a new stand today. It was turned and carved from maple, but the wood had some discolorations so I used black gesso again. I also took photo's with the original pin, and with a short pin so the piece rests on the base. You can also see the branding texture in the original stand better in these photos (played with the lighting some). So, what do you think. I have my preference, but I would like to hear your opinions.
