We don't have roaming with AT&T but I think something similar might be the problem. My wife's phone is the same model bought at the same time. They were both taken off the chargers with a full charge last night around 11 pm. This morning about 6:30 am mine gave a couple warning beeps that say it is fully discharged and is going to turn off. The phones were on the kitchen counter within two feet of each other but mine showed network is active symbol and her's shows the 3G network is active. I don't know if the phone's antenna has anything to do with the network but the manual does say if it is covered it will use more power to try and get a good signal.
We are eligible for free upgrades so a new phone is no big deal but first my wife needs to decide if she wants a new one and if so which one. Deciding between a black rotary or one of the new colored princess was bad enough but a hundred or more cell phones might be more than the little gray cells can handle.
