Sort of a loaded question, since everyone is focused on travel weight. I've never flown with tools before, so I am not an expert, but I tend to travel very, very light (just enough t-shirts and underwear to make it home).

If I was packing tools, I would probably carry no more than 5 or 6, all in their own handles. I like the idea of shortening up the amount of steel in a handle (I have been known to just leave the T in Thompson sticking out because Doug makes his flutes too long ). However, switching a tool out during a demo would be heresy.
