Since the top is not flat, but slanted, gnarly and asymetric, it won't work in a donut chiuck without a LOT of custom shimming

re: Vacuum Chucking
As you may have noticed in the Top and Bottom photos, this thing is riddled with voids and crevices that start on the outside of this asyemetric beasty, sealing all the openings would be impossible.

Great ideas - for some future turning problem - but not so good for this one.
