That is certainly an interesting list of tools Peter. I have never used a bowl gouge while turning boxes. I hollow with a spindle or detail gouge my preference being a bluntly ground Thompson 1/2" detail gouge.
One of the reasons I find these forums so interesting is that I learn so much from them. Obviously there is more than one way to skin every cat or turn every box.
I have enjoyed seeing the responses.
Even if Ed was buying the tools I would be afraid to put them in my shop after my wife's question the other night... When woman questions man's toys it is time to go to the jewelry store.....
