Here is the by-products of today's shavings making.
Not too shabby for a first day after a long drought.

Out of 3 cherry blanks I got one 15" x7", on the chuck, two 14", one 8" deep on top and 0e 6", 1 13", 2 12" and got out of steam, tomorrow I will finish coring and roughing the smaller pieces.
First time ever working wet cherry, it rusted the lathe bed just as oak does, but smells heavenly.
So I had a really good celebration.
