... and my experience is pretty much right on with Katherine. Only other comment is "I miss my sparks!". I've always watched for the sparks coming over the edge as an indicator that I'm one target. Forget that. Almost no sparks with the diamond wheel.

I'm certainly not a production turner. I probably go through about as much wood, but I get very little production. :( I have read on earlier threads that some folks think the diamond coating is wearing off. I'm not aware of that. Like Katherine said, it's not intended for, or much good for, reshaping a tool. That might be why some are wearing the coating off.
