Re: Wow, where can I get some pheasantwood?

Mike Stafford
I was given several pieces of pheasantwood or partridgewood by a couple of turning friends in Hawaii.

Both of these fine gentlemen harvested the wood themselves and generously shared enough with me to turn a few boxes.

One of these patrons frequents WC but I am hesitant to name him for fear he will be inundated with requests for this rare and difficult to get wood.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. One of the great pleasures I derive from turning is having the opportunity to turn small bits of beautiful wood into boxes. Sharing these boxes and woods with everyone is great fun and very rewarding.
