I was just wondering if there is a trick to turning black palm? I am new at turning and my first pen is beautiful, made of eastern cherry. My second attempt was not so good. The wood seemed to come off much less smoothly. I was at the end and on my last trim and three little sections broke off to the metal. Very sad because it is beautiful wood! Help?? Thanks - Cindy
