tells a story about the time he was harvesting hurricane felled timber when one of those widowmakers cost him some tools.
It seems he had carried his tool box with him to the site of a bunch of felled trees and to keep it out of the way he put it in the hole left by the root ball of an uprighted tree.
Someone cut the trunk of the tree and the stump and root ball stood up and crushed poor Roy's tool box....
Here in hurricane country there are lots of dangers associated with windblown and damaged trees. Whole tops can be sheared off and left hanging in the canopy to become fool killers when you least expect it.
