Hah, sorry BB, don't like that either.

How about simply new saws. I realize this does not distinguish between the current new saw makers who make good saws versus the softer steel and over-set saws out of England. However, I don't think making a distinction can be summed up in a word like artisan or boutique.

With all due appologies to my fellow contemporary saw makers, they are just saws.
