Get a file for about $5 and give it a try. You will be surprised at how easy it is to get your saw sharp.
Sharpening a handsaw is akin to sharpening chisel and hand plane irons, IMO. At least speaking for myself, I feel that sharpening is a skill that all woodworkers should possess. Don't let anyone lead you to believe otherwise. My $0.02
