>First...clamp the work piece down. Then use a chuck key or a drift pin to turn the chuck backwards. Should unscrew. Easy, done it lots of times when using a hand drill at work. (Either air or tailed,... doesn't count cause I'm at work. :-) ) If the work piece was secured properly the problem never woulda happened and the drill bit would be safe. I've never stalled my DP.
