>John Wilson in Charlotte. His primary business is shaker boxes and supplies for shaker boxes. He does several classes on other topics each year. I recently took one on making a wooden jack plane with laminated construction and a wood cap to hold the iron in place.
A band saw was used for the cuts, then the wood was shaped and smoothed with a stationary belt sander. Only use of "hand tools" were chisels for cleaning up a mortise for the tote.
