If an identical rasp that performed exactly the same was sold by a company that showed them on thier web site being cranked out by a machine in China do you think many would get sold at that price? of course not.
...Actually the high price of these things is probably as much of the experance of owning one as there being made by hand and how they perform is. Some People WANT to pay big prices for stuff because that way they "know" they are getting quality.Of course always gives a bit of bragging rights to I imagine

.....gee now I feel bad for not buying that mint in the paper old Black Diamond rasp today at the flea market that the seller wanted $3 for...I thought he was on the moon with a price like that!.....Todd
