I have used a vacuum press with liguid hide glue, though. Works as well as PRG and epoxy with the advantage of fixing the thing down the road.

Most of my bag veneering of larger or curved stuff is done with PRG or epoxy. Smaller flat panels I bag are done with LHG. Smaller platen stuff is done with LHG. I have no real reason for the different glues used for a given application except on the larger work. Those were generally drinks cabinets and serving credenzas where the chance of heat and or alcohol were used.

I've only used HHG a dozen times or so. I don't like the smell but will use it when it is something that isn't worth bagging.
