reusing cedar decking ()

>Not Cedar but redwood in my case. We had built a deck many years ago and in 2003 I dis-assembled it to make room for an addition on that side of the house. I stored the wood and used for many projects over the years. Picture frames, boxes, an outdoor cooking cart for my wife. I even built my workbench out of it. 4x4 redwood legs, 2x6 frame and 2x4 redwood lumber glued on the wide faces for a thick sturdy workbench top that is surprising resiliient to dings.

Some of the wood had termites and other insect damage. That went into the dumpster of course. But most of it was in good shape. I'm now down to the last of it. Just a few 2x4's and some 4x6's left. I love to re-use things. Go for it.
