>Kind of hard to see much in the photos but Looks like to me the metal piece inside the throat of the plane was probably an owner / user added thing done to close up the mouth, I've seen simular done with wood and brass....maybe put that iron strike button in too. Guess it adds some interest to what otherwise looks like a pretty ordinary Razee plane
Blade looks like a pretty common blade like you would expect from a plane like this.....Todd
