I like using a steel as it is quick, clean and fits in a narrow drawer. My stone steel is way past retirement, and my steel steel doesn't work well after knives get pretty dull, so a diamond replacement sounds like a winner. Here is a site that has DMT steels for less than the German ones. Thanks for this OT, Jack.
