All you need is a cheap car battery charger, a piece of scrap metal, washing soda, water, and a container big enough to put your tool into. In your case, I would try to get the handle off, if possible, or make sure that only the metal part of the saw is in the tank. Let it run for a couple of hours, and you'll have a rust free tool without expending any elbow grease. Even better, you won't have to worry about scrubbing away any engraving marks.
