>the final count was five endmills. Size does not really matter and this job will toast all tooling dedicated to it. Once you hammer the corner of the mill making these grooves, the mill is useless for any other task. For that reason, I try to use dull end mills for this job. These guys are solid carbide and cost quite a bit. Eventually they get dull and refuse to cut. Sometimes flutes break off. It is quite exciting when that happens.
