My prediction would be that the edge of a hard chisel would chip at the level you are burnishing it. Recalll that's it's pretty difficult to raise much of a burr on a hard steel scraper with a burnisher
Burnishing also wouldn't move very much metal.
Worth a try - but I'll pass. ;)
