>I sort of collect nice older Night Sticks and Billy Clubs [make a nice display with my whip collection] and the best ones are made from Lignum Vitae that Dense heavy tropical wood.I do have my Grandfathers which is made out of Hickory but he weighted it with lead to make it heavier.Used it on those union guys in the coal mines down in W.Va., has 3 notches cut into it so guess it worked OK.......Todd
