The one thing I like about premium planes..

..I gathered what I wanted from the LN 62 re: the unicorn method (use the uni at an angle 5 degrees lower than a flat apex to get the same tearout protection), and at first, I thought I may keep the plane because I have none other of the type.

But the buffer has taught me that even the buck blade is more pleasant to use in a stanley 4 once it's accommodated (actually, a soft blade and the unicorn is quite nice).

I listed the 62 on ebay because there's never any question about whether or not a plane will sell and it sold for $300. The magic of fees and tax makes it so that it's all about a break even proposition, but that's great. free rent style trial :)
