I agree that the complete lack of edge damage is a big benefit -- not just in terms of being able to plane longer, but also in terms of making it easier to resharpen. No need to make sure you sharpen out all the damage (and then be disappointed when you see tracks in the wood and realize that you failed to get all of it).

I'm curious if O1 and PM-V11 will behave similarly (I'm guessing they will), but I only have A2 blades for this plane.
