Back Finish OmnibusDavid Weaver
I realize that the washita topic may be a little bit confusing given the difference in finish shown with the same stone. One seemingly as coarse-looking as a 1k stone, and then with 10 seconds of work, providing a more uniform edge than the pictures from a shapton 12k stone.
I will probably be dumping stones on ebay soon (not related to the unicorn thing, just based on the reality that I still have something like 125-150 sharpening stones and now is as good of a time as any to start selling things).
To the extent that I may have something reasonably common, I'd be glad to show the scratches on the back of an iron, and, more importantly, the evenness of the edge.
