David, I used the Shapton Pro 5000 for some years, and hated it. It would load up, stop cutting .. perhaps I had a bad one. It was followed by the Shapton Pro 12000, which is a nice stone. Moving to the Sigma Power 6000 was such an upgrade on the 5000 that I have zero interest going back even to try it out again.
