They're pretty well established to be factory ground exactly as I have them. The two that have been used haven't had the factory roundover removed or chased back yet -and those two have a primary bevel angle of exactly 25 degrees to a shinwa rule.
Not 25 1/4, 24. something, etc, they are absolutely dead on the line 25.
This is interesting as the speculation on the English site is that the oval bolstered mortice chisels were a production tool and not a cabinetmaker's tool. Production where mortises were deep (and if you have the opportunity to use one of these, they are superb to use on mortises deeper and longer than we would typically make in furniture).
The angle behind the round over is (by chance) almost identical to what I've come up with unicorning lighter chisels. They are undeniably faster to use in deep mortises than a single flat bevel they hold up well (unfortunately, it's rare that we would make much large enough to use them).
The chisels that I have are about 3 hundredths of an inch wider at the cutting end than they are at the tang, and the taper is even. The tops are about 3 hundredths narrower than the bottom of the cross section on the wider chisel and 2 on the narrower.
A bias in favor of the maker.
