Hi, Jon - I believe Mike Digity is fully retired now, but Horizon Wood products has been selling 16/4 beech for planes (sometimes, or maybe permanently, it's well sawn european beech billets due to trouble drying american beech - am. beech at 16/4 is really slow drying and it creates economic problems for them tying up their kiln).
the european billets that I"ve gotten from them are exceptionally well sawn, though.
