curious to know... ()

In my case, Bill, this old, well used stone is new to me and I simply wanted to give it a new start. I do not routinely flatten my stones, even my water stones. I have been spending a lot of my COVID-19 downtime (not sick) trying to perfect my kitchen knife sharpening techniques. The internet guy I’ve been following, his web site is Burrfection.com., does not do much stone flattening and he uses nearly 100% water stones.

I know you and Bruce Haugen are devotees of diamond paste on cast iron and had those cast iron plates precision ground to flatness. I’m sure you had your reasons.
