Completed saw *PIC*Paul in NJ
This saw project has been kicking around way too long. I finally got around to installing the saw nuts, filing teeth, and sharpening. It is filed 9 point (8 TPI) rip with ~0-2 degree rake. I relaxed the rake slightly at the toe the first couple of inches. The saw plate is .025" thick and 19" at the tooth line. The brass back is 0.156" thick and has a sawn groove. The saw plate and back are tapered to relieve some of the weight at the toe. It is aggressive cutting but starts nicely if you use a light touch.
