No need for abrasives here Sir William. And no, I am definitely not looking for something that rough. They hold and release fine as is. Granted, sometimes it's a tap or two to set and/or release. But no issues or complaints. Can't even remember if I ever took off the coating, I remember you telling me about it. I figured I'd try them first, and they worked as is.
FWIW: I'm using them in 3" and 1 1/2" thick material. That correlates to Derek's experience with his bench thickness.
