Thanks for the response, raymond. I'm looking for that kind of luck in a neighborhood tree. Here in the burbs, if the owner says so, the tree services leave large trees behind bucked.
If not, I often see the lower level workmen quartering rounds and then sawing them again just to throw them in a grinder. They must have a customer for the chips. Wiki says LPT is a town hybrid that doesn't suffer some of the same ills of the american sycamore - I need to start paying attention more around here so I can have stories of getting something useful!
