...I don't have what it takes to build furniture right now - it's the playing with the hand tools that ties it together and the little challenges like this. I think people who build good furniture over and over are creatures of routine and I'm thrilled by figuring things out and moving onto the next thing.

Personal flaw, I guess. Not sure how I managed to build so many planes, but if the routine to build them became less freehand, I'm sure I'd quit doing that, too.
