Thanks, very interesting! I never thought of using a punch to make crisp stringing corners—maybe we should call the punch a kerfing tool. On the Lee Valley tool, is the cutter a sawtooth type, or the gouge type?

To get the holly strings into the curves, do tou have to wet them, or are they persuadable dry?
