Subject:
black and gold rockerJack Guzman from Maine
I am repairing a broken antique rocking chair. It was stained and laquered originally. Due to the fact that I had to use wood filler in places and new wood to do some splints and replace one rocker I am going to paint it. I would like to paint it gloss black with gold trim on some of the leg beads but I can't use volatile chemicals because the shop is downstairs from my house and would stink up the house. Is there a way to achieve gloss black with water based paint?
If I can't do this I will use milk paint and paint it like I would paint a windsor chair.
