When I machine planed these panels they picked out both directions. So I drum sanded the last bit. In my hands drum sanding is bad news with rogue scratches showing up that are onerous to sand out by hand. So I decided to plane them out.

Where does one put a case piece to plane it? On the floor is too low with no way to hold it. On the bench is too high. I stood on step ladder....most inconveniently.
