I'm going to make a video of the pencil making process, and you can tell from my recent pictures that the first rough sharpening is done with a chisel.
You were right, I kind of like it. I was considering that I might make a lot of pencils and thought I would just give in and buy 50 kum sharpeners, but I think now I'll not do that.
