looks good Dave! Nice project you have found.
Still can´t let go of the knife sharpening practice. There been a lot of mention of good type of sharpeners, but the pictures still show a rough surface, typical of cross grain cutting.
A knife sharpened pencil looks a lot better in my opinion, and it is not a big skill to learn sharpening a pencil without wasting lead.
Looking forward to hear about your lead-making endeavours!
