Each one gets a little better. Still a bit rough on the facets because the pencils always have a little bit of bow, but certainly good enough to write with.
Yesterday's pencil is a quick cheap french polish shellac, then oil added to continue to add more instead of waiting for each layer to harden.
The lacquer is ugly and sticky and catches all of the dirt, but it smells nicer and I'm sure it's far more durable once cured.
