I reconditioned the plane after buying it (it was a spiers infill with a half-used ward iron), so that's the secret about how it doubled in value.

The person who listed it in England also made the mistake of making the main picture the logo on the ward iron, so it looked only like an iron for sale. They probably wondered why it didn't sell, but for all I know, they also may have gotten it from a little old lady for 10 pounds.
