for who knows what reason chromium oxide was historically used for stainless. So this stick may indeed by pure Cr2O3. I don't know if it has been replaced by alumina or diamond. If not it could mean Cr2O3 does something special.
Since XHP is a stainless steel we should be using Cr2O3 with it
