I hope brian doesn't show up... () Steve Voigt
Brian brought a Japanese chisel when he and Warren visited last winter, and we compared it my favorite, freshly sharpened pre-war Marples. His was definitely a shade sharper.
I did the Hearne Hardwoods show this past weekend, and as always I heard a lot of comments like "wow that's sharp." So it's helpful for me to encounter edges that are slightly better; keeps me on my toes, tinkering a little. It's easy to get complacent and stagnant.
