Yeah for small carving tools I like the slow part, it gives me time to reflect on my errors before they become to large. The fact its super hard also means that

My biggest complaint is how unflat they were and how difficult they were to flatten although I also realize that the latter attribute is part of why I like them in use so.. trade offs.
