For a back bevel that short, just leave it alone for now and gradually sharpen it off from the bevel side.
Older chisels are often beat up near the edge leaving something rounded over on both sides. A reasonable job of flattening leaves a little bit of that left, and you can just grind it off instead of flattening that much more of the back off to remove it.
