Hamler's suggestions

Bill Tindall, E.Tn.
As reported earlier Paul uses a Dremel with cut-off blade. He gets much longer blade life if the steel is waxed along the cut line. An alternative that ensures the best metal for the task is to buy some "blue" 1095 from any machine shop supply place, MSC for example. The best saw blades are perfect , according to Paul if you know for sure the blade is "best" and you can find one not pitted.

If you have shop near by with a shear this is the best way to make blanks.
