I do the same thing Bill. If you want, you can just stick all the screws feet first into the wax and take them out in turn. Very satisfying, like if all the socks clump up together in the drier .

Wiley....with an oldhouse, there’s a good chance you will have a wax ring stashed somewhere, unless you have replaced the whole shooting match (which is also likely).
