Bill Tindall, E.Tn.
I'm having difficulty writing clearly for you are not interpreting what I write accurately.
I'll try again.....When you describe a test of a material or procedure done on a wood whose properties are far removed from the wood typically used for furniture I, and maybe others, will consider the result, because I believe the work is done reliably and reported accurately. To accept the conclusions for typical furniture wood I want to see the experiment repeated on a typical furniture wood. You will have to judge whether my view is common, or not, and proceed accordingly.
Why you use this or that is irrelevant to how I interpret results. It was not my intention to compare your work and David's. The work is complimentary. Complimentary work is added to, not compared and contrasted.
