Is the solution to your problem simply fewer TPI? What TPI blade are you using?
Possibly totally unrelated....or not.
I cut up a massive amount of holly recently. The gooey sap stuck to the blade to the point it stalled it in the guide. In desperation I squirted WD40 onto the guide as the blade passed through it, coasting to a stop. To my amazement the blade was clean and stayed clean for several more cuts. An occasional squirt and I completed sawing and in the end the blade was clean.
